Accessibility statement

Repatory should be usable by everyone who wants to train, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, switch control, zoom or larger text. This statement covers repatory.com and the Repatory app.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We check new features against these guidelines as we build them, but Repatory has not had an independent accessibility audit yet, so we do not claim full conformance.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link on every page, and visible focus outlines for keyboard users.
  • Workout sheets and dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them, close with Escape and return focus to where you were.
  • Tabs and lists can be moved through with the arrow keys, Home and End.
  • Timers, saved sets and errors are announced to screen readers as they happen.
  • Animations are reduced or turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Buttons and controls are sized for touch, and pages work when zoomed or with larger text.
  • Text and controls are designed for readable contrast in the app’s dark theme.

Known limits

  • Some gestures, like swiping between tabs or pulling a sheet down to close it, are shortcuts. Every one of them also has a button or link that does the same thing.
  • Exercise demonstrations are visual. Exercises from the Repatory library also have written steps; custom exercises you add do not.
  • Sign-in is provided by Clerk and payment by Stripe or the App Store. Their screens follow those companies’ own accessibility work.

Tell us about a barrier

If something in Repatory is hard or impossible to use with the way you use your device, please tell us. Include the page, what you were trying to do and, if you can, the device and assistive technology you use. We will reply and, where we can, offer another way to get what you need while we fix it.
